Overview

The Layout Builder is an extension of our Section Dashboards, and is a tool to allow users to create individual widgets, for example tables and graphs, and arrange these widgets on a grid layout to create their own custom Section Dashboards.

The Dashboard Builder is comprised of four key sections:

Create a Widget

In this section, we can create personalised visualisations based on a library of widgets created for the Section Dashboard, such as tables and graphs. When building a widget, we choose which metrics will appear in the visualisation, and control other configuration such as appearance, colours etc.

Create a Dashboard

Once we have some created some Widgets, we can then arrange them on a dashboard. We can control how the dashboard will look at various breakpoint sizes by dragging and resizing the widgets inside the grid canvas.

Widget Library

The widget library displays all the widgets created by the currently logged in user. Here, we can edit and delete widgets.

Dashboard Library

The dashboard library displays all the dashboards created by the logged in user, as well as dashboards by other users in the same account that have not been marked as 'private'. Here, we can edit and delete our own dashboards, view dashboards, and optionally select a dashboard to appear as our home screen.
